Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What is HealthScreen?

HealthScreen is an advanced medical facility offering comprehensive preventative health assessments using state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic tools.

Who should consider a HealthScreen assessment?

Anyone looking for proactive health management, especially those with a family history of cancer, heart disease, or other serious conditions.

How is HealthScreen different from a regular check-up?

Unlike standard check-ups that rely on basic blood tests and physical exams, HealthScreen uses MRI imaging, genetic testing, and advanced diagnostics for early disease detection.

Appointments & Process

How long does the health assessment take?

All tests are conducted on-site in a single day, with results reviewed by your physician during a follow-up consultation.

What happens during my appointment?

Your visit includes a detailed medical history review, comprehensive diagnostic imaging (including MRI and ultrasound), pathology tests, and a full consultation with your doctor.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No, you can book directly with HealthScreen without a referral.

Screening & Tests

What types of cancer can HealthScreen detect?

Our MRI-based screening can detect early signs of 20 common cancers, including prostate, lung, pancreatic, and brain cancers

Does the MRI scan use radiation?

Executive Health Programs

Who is suitable for HealthScreen’s Executive Health Programs?

Our executive health programs were built for people whose wellbeing matters to those around them, whether you lead a company, run a business, manage a team, or hold significant responsibility in your professional and personal life. The program is equally suited to CEOs, founders, partners, senior leaders, business owners, and high-performing individuals who want a more thorough view of their health than a standard annual check provides. If you’d rather act early than wait for symptoms, this is for you.

Why should you choose HealthScreen as your executive health provider?

The Comprehensive One Day Diagnostics is completed on-site in 3 to 4 hours at our Melbourne or Sydney clinic, with no need to travel between specialists or schedule multiple follow-up appointments. The 12-month optimisation that follows (physician review at day 14, three nutrition consultations between months 3 and 9, and a final physician review at month 12) is delivered via telehealth, designed to fit around a demanding schedule.

How do we enroll our executive team in HealthScreen?

Getting started is straightforward. Book a call with our team to discuss your group’s needs and the right program fit. We’ll confirm the executives to be included and any applicable corporate rate. From there, your team can book directly through our online calendar or via our admin team, with each executive’s One Day Diagnostics completed at our Melbourne or Sydney clinic.

Will our company see our executives' results?

No. Every executive’s results are reported directly and confidentially to them, never to their employer. All personal and health information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles.

Is HealthScreen's Executive Health Program exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax?

Yes. The ATO’s Class Ruling CR 2026/38 confirms that HealthScreen’s core diagnostics and physician follow-up are treated as an exempt fringe benefit when made available to employees, meaning no FBT payable on these services. The Ruling applies from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. As FBT treatment depends on how the benefit is offered within your business, we’d recommend confirming your specific position with your tax adviser.
